Day 484 Whitman Winterfest 2012
Whitman 19th annual Winterfest will be held on Sunday afternoon December 9th  in the center of town. There will be a hot dog eating eating contest, from trolley rides, pony and hay rides Many of the day’s activities will take place in and around the center of town – Whitman Town Park, the senior center on Hayden Avenue and the town hall on South Avenue. There will also be an Elvis look like contest and all Elvis look alikes can march in the parade.
From 3 to 5 p.m., there will be performances from the Whitman Hanson Regional High School chorus, Whitman Academy of Performing Arts and Miss Kay’s School of Dance, and others.
The holiday festival will culminate with Santa’s Parade at 5:45 p.m. followed by a fireworks show at 6 p.m.
There is also the Treasure Hunt happening as well
We’ve hidden a medallion somewhere in Whitman.
Find it and you’ll WIN $500.
