SSC Wacky Wednesday Family Concerts 2018 in Hingham MA
South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) Wacky Wednesdays family concert series will be held on 4 mornings during the summer 2018. This family-friendly concert series, sponsored by The Harold and Avis Goldstein Trust, kicks off July 11 with Karen K & the Jitterbugs, and continues the following three Wednesday mornings with Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys, Debbie and Friends, and SSC’s ImagineARTS Band. These performances are tons of fun and provide many memory-making moments!
Tickets for family concerts are $15 for adults and $5 for children 3 and up . Special packages are available for groups of 10 or more. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

Karen K & the Jitterbugs
Recently voted the Best Kindie Band in the Greater-Boston area by Mommy Poppins, Karen K & the Jitterbugs has become a favorite among kids and kid-ults in Boston and beyond. Known for their totally engaging, high-energy show packed with humor and amazingly catchy, well-crafted tunes, Karen K & the Jitterbugs is fun for the whole family.

Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys
Vanessa Trien has been performing music for kids and families since 2005, many of those years in collaboration with her lively folk/roots/pop band, the Jumping Monkeys. She has three Parents’ Choice award-winning CDs for kids, Vanessa packs concert halls, preschool fundraisers and outdoor venues with dancing kids and families. She is known for her highly interactive shows, featuring plenty of group singing and movement.

Debbie and Friends
From the moment they launch into their first song, I’m Glad You’re Here, the children in the crowd understand their role: to participate, sing, dance, jump and interact with the Debbie and Friends band. Her original music is engaging, fun, interactive and educational; perfect for families with kids ages two through eight.
August 1
ImagineARTS Band
Join SSC’s ImagineARTS Band in moving, grooving, and crooning along to tunes like See How I’m Jumping, She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain, and Funga Alafia. During the school year, the band shares their favorite stories and songs with kindergarteners in Brockton through SSC’s arts integrated literacy program, ImagineARTS. This concert, great for ages 3-7 years, concludes with a special presentation of the popular children’s story Pete the Cat and the New Guy.
New and exciting for this summer’s concerts are food trucks at each performance. Interspersed throughout the series are Sadie Maes Cupcake Cafe, Rolling Roost Food Truck, and Mom on the Go Food Truck, offering a variety of foods such as indulgent cupcakes, designer grilled cheese, barbecue pulled pork, steak burritos, strawberry avocado salad, couscous salad with cherries, and avocado toast.
