The Natural Resources Trust of Easton (NRT)  is free and open to individuals from the public from dawn to dusk seven days a week for people and their leashed dogs to enjoy The NRT promotes a land ethic in the community through educational programming. The NRT provides leadership, cooperation and networking to others with a similar mission.

The NRT Education Department at Sheep Pasture offers a variety of environmental programs for groups interested in learning more about local ecology. Our on-site and outreach programs are suited for:

Field trips for schools, scouts and special groups 

All of our programs are adaptable to meet your needs, and can be applicable for all ages. You can either come to us, or we can come to you! Nature adventure birthday parties

Have your child’s next birthday party at the beautiful Sheep Pasture! Every party includes a fun, educational nature adventure program with an NRT naturalist followed by a Carriage House room rental. We offer several party options to give your child the most unique party experience they have ever had! Our professional naturalists will tailor each party to age, group size, and the specific interests of your child. Contact the education department today to design a party just for you!

Our birthday parties are only available to NRT members; a family membership may be added at the time of your booking. All of our parties start with a 45 minute educational program followed by a 45 minute room rental. The birthday child must be turning at least 2 years old.

Where to Walk and Hike and Get Fresh Air on the South Shore Boston

Walking Trails 

Sheep Pasture Walk is a 1.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located  that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The walking  trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

at Sheep Pasture

Bring the kids to this family friendly event over the weekend 

Celebrate spring at Sheep Pasture’s annual Spring Farm Festival! Join us for a fun day of games, music, storytelling, and more! 🐑
🚜 Meet the big machines that help our farm run at the Touch-a-Tractor Exploration Station!
🎶 Dance and sing along to live music, as you enjoy tasty festival food!
🏸 Challenge your friends and family to outdoor games like giant jenga, cornhole, and lawn bowling!
🧚‍♀️ Take a stroll down the fairy trail, as you puzzle your way through a scavenger hunt!
Admission is $20 per group of five people. Admissions will be taken at the entrance to the event – all admission fees directly benefit the operations of the NRT of Easton and Sheep Pasture! ❤️
NRT’S Spring Farm Festival is rain or shine! Please no dogs or other pets at the event. Service dogs trained to perform specific tasks for their handlers are of course welcome. 🦮
