Day 324 World War 2 Living History Day in Braintree MA

If you are want to honor veterans there is a great event in Braintree this week.  Braintree Historical Society re-enactors will pay tribute to veterans on Saturday Nov 12th from 10-4pm    with a living history event replicating World War II.

World War 2 Living History  Day in Braintree MA

The Gilbert Bean Museum and Thayer House Museum grounds will be transformed into an encampment, with actors playing the heroic parts from both the Axis and Allied sides in front of one of Braintree’s many historic homes.  It’s a glimpse into the soldier’s daily existence, as well as the world of medicine and civilian life surrounding the violence of the 2nd World War.

Admission to this special event is free of charge for all active-duty service members and veterans. General admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children, with Braintree Historical  members also admitted free.

The living history displays will be featured on the grounds of the Thayer House Museum and inside the Gilbert Bean Museum. The Braintree Historical Society is located at 31 Tenney Rd. in Braintree.
