Storytime  at Sunset Lake  Braintree 10am  Many of the Summer Storytimes are outside in Braintree Parks. Today, our location will be at Sunset Lake, in the Gazebo structure.  Sunset Lake is on Safford Street, off Franklin Street. Summer Storytimes continue July 29 and Aug 19 at various parks around town. Bring a blanket or towel for more comfort. We’ll gather under the shady trees. July sessions are followed by an “Arts in the Parks” program presented by New England Historic, supported by a grant form Braintree Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency

Abington Library 1030am   Drop-in Toddler Time 
Join Miss Sandy (or Miss Heidi, or Mrs. Grimmett) every Monday morning at 10:30 AM this summer for our drop-in toddler time program! Toddler Time is a 20-minute program consisting of short stories, songs, scarf waving, egg shaking, and a puppet visit. This program is best suited for children ages 0-3. Monday Drop-In Toddler Time is on any Monday we are open. Our Toddler Times are funded by the Friends of the Library. Runs every Monday thru the summer!

Come join us on the front lawn for some stories and songs followed by stamps!   **In case of bad weather, the program will be held in the Meeting Room.  runs weekly thru August 12th

Rockland Library  S.T.E.M. Activities  for Kids  1230pm  Mr. Ghelfi, a former science and technology teacher from FrankenS.T.E.A.M., will guide kids as they engineer and build projects using Legos, Magna Tiles and Frigits!  Ages 8 and up. Parents must accompany children under 10 years old.  Registration is Required  **This program is supported in part by a grant from the Rockland Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency AND by the Friends of the Rockland Memorial Library.**

Hanson Library Family Movie Afternoon: Wish (All Ages)  1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Beat the heat and enjoy a free movie at the library on the big screen!  A young woman named Asha possesses wild wishes for happiness. After making a wish on a starry night, Asha is surprised when Star, a ball of cosmic energy, comes down to accompany her. Asha and Star must work together to defeat the ruthless ruler, King Magnifico, who threatens the safety of her local community. With Asha’s unstoppable courage and Star’s magical powers, nothing is impossible.  Drop in program, preregistration not required. This is not a librarian led program. Children under seven years old must be supervised by an assigned caregiver at least 14 years or older at all times.

Braintree Library  What lives in this tree? ages 5 – 10 10am  What lives in the Linden Tree that is outside the Children’s Room window? Let’s explore and talk about animals and bugs that live in Braintree. Then everyone can assemble a Nature Journal to take home. Hanson Library Buildwave! A Hands-On Building Game (Grades K-6)  5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Want to foster your child’s interest in STEM, while igniting their creative spark at the same time? Buildwave is a creative building program that feels like a video game! Over the course of the workshop students create with over a dozen different building materials, including Lego®, PlusPlus®, and custom-made Buildwave materials. The workshop is structured like a video game, with an audiovisual setup featuring animations and music that guide students through the different building waves. As your child creates with wave after wave of new objects, they build creative confidence, become better collaborators, and encounter design and engineering fundamentals in a unique and memorable context.

Braintree Library Pajama Party Storytime with Miss Meghan the Story Lady
Kids are invited to wear pajamas to “Pajama Parties Storytimes” on Tuesday evenings.Tonight is the first one, presented by Miss Meghan, the Story Lady. There will be stories, music and movement. Then children can make a craft to take home. Come Jammie Jam at the library.  Best for ages 2 1/2 – 4, but open to all children.  Miss Meghan will continue “Pajama Parties/Jammie Jams Storytimes”on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 through July 30 .

Little ones, ages infant to four, can enjoy Duplos, extra Train Tracks and Train Table , MagnaTiles, and puzzles.   There will be board games out for school age children as well
