Join Ms. Dorothy for a fun outdoor storytime at the Wollaston Beach Tot Lot, located between East Elm Ave. and Sachem St. (next to the Clam Box). Bring your sunscreen and water and we’ll bring the books and music!  Cosponsored by the Friends of Wollaston Beach

Join us on the library lawn for stories and songs followed by hand stamps!  All ages.  In the event of inclement weather we will meet inside end August 11th

Pembroke Library  Storytime 1030am
Toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, and a story that encourages language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft.  Repeats weekly except for Monday holidays

Top 10 LEGO sets for preschoolers 

Drop in Crafts @ Adams Shore  Quincy Library Ages 3-8 1-5pm   Stop by the Adams Shore Branch on Monday afternoons to do some crafting. Each week we’ll have a new craft.   Repeats all summer!
Norwell Library  Monday Matinée Movie: The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2pm 
Beat the heat and catch a movie! This week’s selection is The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) rated PG. A synopsis is available here. Bring a blanket to sit on and snacks if you wish– but please no peanut products. No registration. Caregivers must remain with children under the age of 8.

Colonial School Teacher Presentation  at Braintree Library 2pm 
Learn about Colonial History, with Colonial School Teacher performed by Ryan Daniels. He will relay interesting things about the period of the American Revolution. See what it was like for children during that time. There will be hands-on activities, including trying quill pens and making a hornbook. For ages 5 – 12. No registration necessary. Held in honor of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. The first 25 youth to arrive will be admitted – tickets for free admission will be given out starting 30 minutes before the presentation. Held in the Children’s Room.  Part of the Childrens Summer Reading Program of Thayer Public Library. Statewide summer reading programs are supported by the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Boston Bruins, with funding from the Institute of Museums and Library Services. The Thayer Public Library Summer Reading Program is additionally supported by local sponsors: Starland Sportsplex (Hanover), and Altitude Trampoline Park (Avon).

Adams Shore Library Quincy Puppet Tales with Leigh @AS Ages 3+ 10am 
Join us at the Adams Shore Library where Through Me To You Puppetry invites you to join Newton and his puppet friends for some storytime fun!  Newton and his friends take turns reading stories and singing songs with the kids. At the end of the show, the kids are invited to say “hi” to Newton. Our half-hour show is geared to ages 3-7, but all are welcome!

Storytime for Children at Highland Community “Blue” Playground Braintree 10am
Held at Highland Community “Blue” Playground. Storytime with Miss Elisabeth. Best for ages 2 1/2 – 4, but open to all children. Bring a towel or blanket for added comfort. Followed by Arts in the Parks Storywalk and Craft, presented by Historic New England staff. Highlands Community “Big Blue” Playground is located at 1947 Washington Street, near South Street. In case of rain, Storytime will be held inside the Children’s Room of the Library.

Grasshopper & Friends’ Rainbow Dance Party is a high-energy, toe-tappin’, giggle-packed performance designed to sprinkle a little real-time magic into kids’ lives! Through interactive concerts and whimsical musical storytelling, Elijah and his gang spark imaginations, light up smiles, and keep the enchantment alive.From the catchy wake-up jam “Tick Tock, Alarm Clock” to a silly game of hide n’ seek with the ever-wiggly puppet pal Willa the Worm, kids are all-in from the first note to the final bow. Stop by the Wollaston Branch on Wednesday afternoons this summer for free-play LEGO building. Grab some LEGO bricks and build a boat, a spaceship, a double-decker couch – anything you want, then toss them back and try to make something else. LEGOs must be returned by the end of the program, sorry!  Repeats all summer long

Sing-a-Long with Mama Steph in Abington 1030am  Musician, singer, songwriter and entertainer Mama Steph returns to the library for an afternoon of songs (old and new), puppets, and laughter. The library provides the supplies and materials, you supply the imagination! No registration needed. Held in temporary children’s location on the Middle level .

Norwell Library  Make Your Own Paper Minecraft Creeper  1pm
Drop in and make your own paper Minecraft creeper using squares of green, black, and grey paper. This is a drop in program available while supplies last. Best for kids ages 5 and up with caregiver.

Holbrook Library Storytime in the Park 1030am
Join us every Friday morning at 10:30 in the gazebo at the Sumner Field Playground beginning May 30th thru Sept 5th except for July 4th . Enjoy stories, music, movement, and various outdoor activities with your little ones.  Storytime is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, but every age can get something great out of Storytime!
