Toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, and a story that encourages language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft.  Repeats weekly except for Monday holidays

Mr. Vinny returns to the library to perform his fabulous bubble show on Tuesday, June 24th at 10:30! Head over to the library’s side lawn and prepare to be amazed by Mr. Vinny’s bubble creations. This is a drop-in event; registration is not required. This program has been funded by the Friends of the Library.

Small Singers and Shakers at Patriot Place Foxboro 11am   Small Singers and Shakers is a music and movement class for children ages 0-5. Ms. Stacy will bring bells, shaker eggs, scarves, ducks and more to help make the songs come to life. She will play familiar songs on the guitar such as Head Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Happy and You Know It, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Freeze Dance and more to get the kids up moving and dancing.

Event is free and open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Summer Stories with Ms. Sarah in Cohasset 1030am  Join us Under the Tent for summer-themed stories with Ms. Sarah! A coloring page will be provided after each session. All are welcome, no registration required!

Circle of Songs with Hugh Hanley 1030am at Abington Library 
Early childhood educator, music specialist, and entertainer Hugh Hanley returns to the Abington Public Library for one of our favorite programs! Circle of Songs is a fifty-minute program consisting of songs, finger-plays, rhymes and other fun activities. We might even get to sing a few of our toddler time favorites! This program is geared towards kids ages 0-5. Registration is required and begins on June 9th in person and June 12th online. Circle of Songs is funded by the Anderson Foundation.

Summer Storytime at patriot place 11am Join us for a fun-filled Storytime on The Dean College Stage at Patriot Place, located between Citizen Crust and Bar Louie! Calling all master builders! Join us to create with LEGOs and connect with new friends. You’ll be presented with a different challenge each week, and your creation will be displayed in our lobby cases.  This week’s challenge: Build an ice cream cone out of LEGOs!  This is not a librarian led program. Young children must be supervised by an assigned caregiver at all times.

Preschool Discovery @Wollaston Library Quincy  – Ages 3-5  10am
Drop by the Wollaston Library with your preschooler, ages 3-5, any time between 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to do some fun simple science together. Activities, experiments and instructions will be provided for science you can do with your child. Each month activities, experiments and instructions will be provided on a different science topic you can do with your child.  This June we’ll be learning about the Ocean – This month we’ll be sorting shells, getting a close look at sand, learning about salt water, and more!

Hanson Library  Sensory Splash: Summer Play Series (Ages 1-5) 230pm
Get ready to squish, splash, scoop, and swirl! This summer, little ones are invited to explore a world of textures, colors, and sounds through hands-on sensory play. From icy water and fizzy science fun to sandy creations and puffy cream, every session offers new ways to engage the senses and spark curiosity. Designed for young children and their caregivers, this playful program supports early learning through messy, magical fun—because summer was made for exploring! This program will be held outside weather permitting, or inside the community room if it is raining.

Hanson Library Handmade Tales (Grades 1-5) 4pm
Join us on the second and fourth Thursday of every month for a fun art project based on a book! Each hour-long program will start with a themed story that will inspire our craft.  For this week’s craft, we’ll be making monster meals using sensory and textural craft ‘ingredients’ inspired by Mikey Please’s The Cafe at the Edge of the Woods.

Drop in for a special outdoor* music and movement story time with Hanley! The same story time you know and love, but in the great outdoors! We’ll also have a fun nature scavenger hunt with real plants and leaves that kids can take home!

Braintree Library Playroom Drop in Playgroup 10am    Families and caregivers may stop in on Fridays anytime between 10:00 am and noon for informal fun with other young children. Little ones, ages infant to four, can enjoy Duplos, extra Train Tracks and Train Table , MagnaTiles, and puzzles.

Join us every Friday morning at 10:30 in the gazebo at the Sumner Field Playground beginning May 30th thru Sept 5th except for July 4th . Enjoy stories, music, movement, and various outdoor activities with your little ones.  Storytime is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, but every age can get something great out of Storytime!

Hanson Library  Pool Noodle Croquet (Ages 3+)  11am-1pm  Get ready to bend the rules and the noodles in this oversized twist on a classic game! Players will kick soccer balls through colorful croquet “wickets” made from pool noodles in a playful course designed for big laughs and active fun. Perfect for kids of all ages, this wacky outdoor game combines teamwork, coordination, and a whole lot of silliness. Just bring your best kicks and a sense of adventure! Drop in anytime between 11:00- 1:00.

Quincy Library  Children’s Summer Programs Kickoff 2pm
Join us on the Olmsted Lawn at the Main Library in Quincy Square on Friday, June 27th from 2:00 -3:30 pm as we kickoff two full months of FREE Summer fun for children of all ages.  Mr. Vinny will be joining us with his strolling bubble show and Knucklebones will join us with a variety of lawn games. Try your hand at walking on stilts, build a structure out of giant foam builders, play gaga ball and much more. We’ll be sure to have games for all ages. In case of inclement weather the program will move indoors where some activities will have to change to accommodate indoor spaces.  We’ll have a summer of fun and games as we Level Up @the Library. Check out our Read and Bead challenge for children up to age 12. Start the summer with a chain and brag tag and add beads for every 15 minutes you read or are read to. When you reach 12 hours of reading you will get a special game controller charm to add to your string of beads. Looking for things to do this summer?
