Toddler Storytime at Pembroke Library 1030am repeats weekly  thru the end of June 

Abington Library  1030am  Toddler time is continuing on Monday morning! Join Miss Sandy (or Miss Heidi or Mrs. Grimmett) on Monday morning at 10:30 AM for a few short stories, songs, puppet visits, egg shaking, and scarf waving. Toddler Time is a 20 minute program that is geared towards children ages newborn – 3. Monday Morning Toddler Time is drop in, no pre-registration required, with a cap of 15 and will be held in the Copeland Room. Please sign in in the Children’s Room when you arrive.  Toddler Times are funded by the Friends of the Library.     happens Monday thru June 27th  no Monday holidays

Bedtime Story Hour at Abington Library 630pm
Bedtime Story Hour continues this winter and spring at the library! Kids ages 4 and up, who are able to separate from their parent/caregiver are invited to wear their coziest PJs, bring a stuffed animal friend, and join Miss Amy every Monday night at 6:30 PM. Bedtime Story Hour is thirty minutes of longer stories, songs, rhymes, and the chance to “Go Bananas!” Our Story Hour programs are funded by the Friends of the Library  happens Monday thru June 27th  no Monday holidays

Hanson  Library  LEGO Builder Club (All Ages)  4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
CALLING ALL MASTER BUILDERS! Join us to create and connect with new friends! Each week we will host a new theme and then display our works in the library lobby cases. The challenge this week: create the animal you would be most excited to see at the zoo  Drop in, preregistration not required. This is not a librarian led program. Young children must be supervised by an assigned caregiver at all times.

Animal Adventures, Family Zoo and Rescue Center at Cohasset Library 4pm  Join us under the tent for Animal Adventures traveling show. The Zoo Keepers will be bringing exotic animals for us to learn about and interact with. Funded by the Friends of the Cohasset Library.

Braintree Library Pajama Party Storytime with Miss Meghan the Story Lady
Kids are invited to wear pajamas to “Pajama Parties Storytimes” on Tuesday evenings.Tonight is the first one, presented by Miss Meghan, the Story Lady. There will be stories, music and movement. Then children can make a craft to take home. Come Jammie Jam at the library.  Best for ages 2 1/2 – 4, but open to all children.  Miss Meghan will continue “Pajama Parties/Jammie Jams Storytimes”on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 through July 30 .

Hanson Library  Author Visit and Stuffed Animal Vet Clinic: Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals (Ages 4-8)  10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Do animals get earaches? Sore throats? Stomach aches? Who helps them if they can’t talk?
Join us to for a meet and greet with the author and illustrator of Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals, an award-winning STEM picture book based on and informed by real-world veterinarians. Jennifer, the author, and Rozillia, the illustrator will read the story and kids along with their caregiver will bring their own stuffy’s to “diagnose” and treat them. They will receive a mini vet kit and sheet to take home.  This program is made possible by a donation made in memory of Marie Caci to the Hanson Public Library Foundation.  Registration required

Hingham Library  Big Ryan’s Tall Tales  1030am 
The Hingham Public Library welcomes back Big Ryan! Ryan is a terrific oral storyteller. He will delight families with his engaging style and puppet friends. Adults laugh and kids giggle at his unique voices and comic expression. Please join us for a fun morning.  Space in this event is limited, and registration is required.

Hanson Library Paint by Sticker (All Ages)  11:00 AM – 12:00 PM  Drop in for a casual and relaxing intergenerational morning craft! AbraKidabra! Summer Reading Magic Show at Norwell Library  2pm  Come see Mike Bent perform his amazing, astounding AbraKidabra Summer Reading magic show! For ages 5 and up, caregiver to remain with children. Registration required.

Abignton Library  Drum to the Beat with Otha Day 2pm   We’re thrilled to announce the return of Otha Day and his “Drum to the Beat” drum circle to kick-off our performer line-up this summer! No experience is needed and everyone will have a chance to create their own unique rhythm. This event is open to all ages. Registration is required and begins on June 10th. We require walk-in registration for the first three days, and will begin taking sign-ups over the phone or email on Thursday, June 13th. This program is supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Baby Lapsit at Pembroke Public Library    1030am  Designed for babies and toddlers from 6 to 24 months, Lapsits are a great chance for caregivers to bond with their child. Each 30-minute program includes stretches, songs, and rhymes followed by an open play time that allows babies to play and grown-ups to chat. weekly thru the end of June.

Abington Library  Circle of Songs with Hugh Hanley  1030am 
Early childhood educator, music specialist, and entertainer Hugh Hanley returns to the Abington Public Library for one of our favorite programs! Circle of Songs is a fifty-minute program consisting of songs, finger-plays, rhymes and other fun activities. We might even get to sing a few of our toddler time favorites! This program is geared towards kids ages 0-5. Registration is required and begins on June 10th. We require walk-in registration for the first three days and will begin taking sign-ups over the phone and email beginning on Thursday, June 13th. This program is funded by the Anderson Foundation.

Hanson Library  Ecology Extravaganza! (Grades 1-5)  1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Join us for a series of games and challenges about ecology and zoology! We’ll be playing pictionary, jeopardy, and more as we have fun learning more about the world around us.

Bubble Party with The Bubble Music Man at Frenches Common Braintree 2-3pm
Kick off Summer Reading at our outdoor Bubble Party with The Bubble Music Man! The fun begins at 2 pm, and includes kid-friendly music, dancing, games, and, of course…lots and lots of BUBBLES! Join us on Thursday, June 27th, at 2 pm, across the street from the library on French’s Common. Best suited to ages 3-7, but families and children of all ages welcome.  This event is part of the library’s READ, RENEW, REPEAT Summer Reading Program. Statewide summer reading programs are supported by the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Boston Bruins, with funding from the Institute of Museums and Library Services. The Thayer Public Library Summer Reading Program is additionally supported by Papa Gino’s (Grove Street), Uno’s Chicago Grill (Granite Street), Squishable (South Shore Plaza), and Altitude Trampoline Park (Avon).

Hanson Library  Storytime and Mud Painting (Ages 0-5)  4:30 PM – 5:30 PM Join Percy for an outdoor storytime followed by painting with mud!  Weather permitting; story time will be moved indoors with alternate activity in case of inclement weather.

Abington Library  Family LEGO Night  630pm  It doesn’t matter if you are 8 or 80. There is something magical and freeing about snapping those Lego bricks together to create something new, so cast your work and worries aside for an hour and join us for some building time. We will also have some larger Duplo blocks available for our younger friends who might not be Lego-ready yet. Families and family-like groups of ALL ages are welcome to attend. Challenge a neighbor! Bring a friend! Declare a Lego War!  (This is not just for children but all children must be accompanied by an adult.)

Braintree Library Playroom Drop in Playgroup 10am   Families and caregivers may stop in on Fridays anytime between 10:00 am and noon for informal fun with other  children. Little ones, ages infant to four, can enjoy Duplos, extra Train Tracks and Train Table , MagnaTiles, and puzzles.   There will be board games out for school age children as well 

Toe Puppet Jam at Halloran Park  Stoughton Library 10am  The children’s Summer Reading Kickoff is Friday, June 28 from 10-12 pm! Join us for a concert by Toe Jam Puppet Band and free snow cones from the Kona Ice truck! No registration required. This event is generously sponsored by Mass Cultural Council ,

Storytime in the Summer Field with   Holbrook Library 1030am Let’s get outside and enjoy the nice weather! Join us every Friday morning at 10:30 in the gazebo at the Sumner Field Playground beginning June 21st. Enjoy stories, music, movement, and various outdoor activities with your little ones.  Storytime is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, but every age can get something great out of Storytime!
