Puppet Tales with Leigh @AS Ages 3+ at Quincy Library 10am
Join us at the Adams Shore Library where Through Me To You Puppetry invites you to join Newton and his puppet friends for some storytime fun!   Newton and his friends take turns reading stories and singing songs with the kids. At the end of the show, the kids are invited to say “hi” to Newton. Our half-hour show is geared to ages 3-7, but all are welcome!

Braintree Library   Storytime for Children at Watson Park Playground  10am
Held at Watson Park Playground. Storytime with Miss Elisabeth. Best for ages 2 1/2 – 4, but open to all children. Bring a towel or blanket for added comfort. Followed by Historic Fun and Games, an Arts in the Parks program presented by Historic New England staff. Watson Park Playground is located at the end of Gordon Road, off Quincy Avenue. In case of rain, Storytime and Historic Fun and Games, will be held inside the Children’s Room of the Library.

Poop Museum part 2 at Weymouth Library 10am If you loved The Poop Museum: Part One, get ready to be blown away by Part Two! As the name promises, this round features even more poo—and even more fascinating butts. Visitors will discover the wild wonders of the animal kingdom, like the creature whose poop looks just like a noodle, another whose poop is somehow nicer than its food, and one that only sometimes has a butt. You’ll also meet the animal that produces poop syrup, and the one that unleashes a jaw-dropping 45 gallons of pink poop every time it goes. It’s weird, it’s wonderful, and it’s waiting for you!

Quincy Libary Art in the Evening 6pm Kids ages 2-5 and their grownups are invited to join us for “Art in the Evening” at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 5th for our monthly art program. This month we’ll be making sidewalk chalk art. This program is for adults and children together. All grownups must be accompanied by a child.  In case of inclement weather we will move indoors and make chalk art on paper.

Join us for a monthly family pajama storytime for the whole family on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. This program is especially for children ages 1-5 accompanied by an adult.

Hanson Library Create and Play: Shoebox Foosball (Grades K+)   1pm  A foosball game made with a cardboard box, wooden skewers, and clothespins.
In this hands-on program, kids will design and construct their very own tabletop foosball game using everyday materials like shoeboxes, straws, clothespins, and more. Along the way, they’ll learn basic building skills, explore simple mechanics, and express their creativity by decorating their mini stadiums. Once the tables are built, it’s game on—kids can challenge their friends and take their custom foosball game home for more fun! No experience needed—just imagination, teamwork, and a love for play!

Miss Ari returns to Thayer Public Library’s children’s room as part of our drop in play Friday, to turn singing & dancing into learning & play! With live music featuring ukulele and guitar, it’s faced paced: designed to keep everyone from infants to 5 year old’s (and even parents) entertained! She covers classic nursery rhymes, colors and the alphabet while using shaker eggs, dance scarves and always says “See You Later” with BUBBLES!

Step right up and become a Ringmaster! In this hands-on, creativity-packed program, kids will design, build, and play their very own ring toss game. From crafting colorful rings to building targets and setting up the ultimate tossing arena, participants will learn basic design skills, teamwork, and problem-solving—all while having tons of fun! Participants will take their custom ring toss game home for even more fun!

Join us every Friday morning at 10:30 in the gazebo at the Sumner Field Playground beginning May 30th thru Sept 5th except for July 4th . Enjoy stories, music, movement, and various outdoor activities with your little ones.  Storytime is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, but every age can get something great out of Storytime!
